Sean holds the position of Strategic Partners Account Executive at Sanlam Investments, where he is responsible for business development activities and strategies across business areas, including SIM active business, Satrix Investments, External Channels, and the Internal DFM. With over a decade of experience in institutional investments and governance, Sean has worked for leading investment management firms, providing consulting services to ultra-high-net-worth clients, independent financial advisers, and institutional clients such as pension funds, corporates, and insurance firms. Sean holds an MCom degree in Finance and is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance at the University of Johannesburg. He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, where he contributes to the MCom program by designing and delivering investment management modules.

Eben Mare

Eben is head of the Absolute Return business at Absa asset Management; his experience is multi-asset investments, having served in the financial markets in various trading and asset management roles over the last thirty years. He also holds a position as an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Pretoria where he supervises postgraduate students and conducts research. He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics.
Arnold Garber

Arnold Garber born in Argentina became the youngest data processing manager of an insurance company at the age of 24. In 1984 he founded Compu clearing, a software services company dedicated to the Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding Industry. The company listed on the Johannesburg Stock exchange in 1998. In 2015 it was sold to Australian conglomerate WiseTech Global. Nowadays, Arnold is involved in Insuretech specifically in Marine insurance
Duarte Da Silva

Duarte has more than 25 years of experience in the investment industry, having concurrently been the Regional Head of Macquarie’s (Macquarie is a Global investment Bank, originating out of Australia) African Operations and Chief Executive Officer of a joint venture Macquarie First South (a financial services company he founded in 2002) until 2016.
Prior to joining Macquarie, Duarte was Deputy Chairman of McCarthy Bank (chaired by Cyril Ramaphosa). He was also executive director at Merrill Lynch South Africa. Duarte holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in Engineering (PhD) from the University of the Witwatersrand 25. Currently Duarte serves as the Chairman of listed Huge Group, and is on the Board of Kela Securities, Element Investment Managers and CDL.
